We’ll contact you about dates and confirm when the group size is sufficient.
Sport: Snowboard
Level: advanced
Group: More Feedback (Slower paced)
Participants: 4 / instructor
We'll take it slow doing the various fundamentals in the park. We'll approach jumps gradually until you're ready for air, and the instructor will hold you on your first attempts on the rails.
Objectives
- Jumps: Approach, Stacked Position, Correct technique for spins
- Rails: How to 5050, Staying safe, How to learn boardslides.
- How to fall: Reaching the landing (jumps), Rails
- Safety explanations
Prerequisites
- Solid edge control (for example, be able to handle flat sections by holding an edge)
- Comfortable with the 'Teller' lift / Button Lift.
- Comfortable with speed (straightlining a mellow blue slope with only occasional speed checks)
- If you will only be comfortable trying a rail after trying a box, then you need to do that before this lesson. If there is no box narrow enough in the lesson for the instructor to hold you there, it will be safer to go to the tube/rail first with the instructor holding you.
- We won't be going fast down the slopes, but the group shouldn't have to wait very long for anyone
